The P茅rez Art Museum Miami just got $5 million in funding to expand its Caribbean Cultural Institute. The institute works to promote, preserve and study art from the Caribbean and its diaspora. With the new funds it has received from the Green Family Foundation 鈥 the institute now plans to collaborate with Florida International University鈥檚 Kimberly Green Latin American and Caribbean Center.

More than 45 artists and art educators will be honored during the ceremony on Wednesday. Honorees include major philanthropists Jorge M. P茅rez and Darlene P茅rez from the Perez Art Museum Miami (PAMM), with awards presented by arts luminaries Mireille Chancy Gonzalez and Edouard Duval-Carri茅.
