Amparo Heredia has a vivid recollection of her parents performing in what was Miami鈥檚 vibrant Flamenco scene in the 1980s when many tablaos dotted the city. These flamenco venues originally developed during the 1960s throughout Spain replacing cabarets.

鈥淪er.Rana,鈥� a show conceived and choreographed by dancer and actress Sonia Franco will be performed at 8 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 2 and 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 3 at Aventura Arts & Cultural Center.

Venezuelan-born, Miami-based Siudy Garrido is a modernizing force in a historically Spanish-dominated art form. She performs this weekend in Aventura.
