The grief and mourning continue for the 17 students and staff killed on the afternoon of Feb. 14 during a mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland. Broward Sheriff Scott Israel was removed by Gov. Ron DeSantis in January 2019.

Suspended Broward should get his job back, a special investigator for the Florida Senate recommended, in a stunning rebuke to Gov. Ron DeSantis.

DeSantis failed to prove the charges in his suspension order, special master Dudley Goodlette wrote in a report released Wednesday.

DeSantis in January, citing in Parkland in which 17 people were killed and the 2017 shooting at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in which five people were killed.
